In trying to recreate the well-loved (lived in) garment, we scour the markets searching for the perfect fabric. This fabric inspires our collection to create timeless silhouettes that we elevate by our prints. The final component is our production process. We work with a San Francisco factory to cut and sew all our garments where they are then sent to a local Marin Dye house to Dye. Every garment is pre-shrunk so mistakes can't happen...
Each piece is unique and different then the next. We cut and sew our garments first and dye the finished garments second.
Simplicity is redefined in the way of a simple tee shirt. Our signature fabric and cuts are tailored for the modern, contemporary women with a feel so soft, it feels "lived in" like your favorite tee shirt.
When designer, Jennifer Gilman launched Blair Maxwell in January 2017, she had a dream to create a line of timeless yet sophisticated styles in the most luxurious of fabrics. A seasoned sales executive in the Fashion Industry for over 13 years, Jennifer saw a hole in the market for beautifully constructed casual attire. A Playful pattern, a simple twist, a soft hand feel, all encompass her mission to create luxury that is inspired by the fabric. With a background of department store buying for three years at Macy’s West and ten years wholesale experience for other local SF lines; Rebecca Beeson, Market T’s, and Tart Collections. Jennifer had a reputation for building brands and driving sales.
The natural next step was to one day go out on her own to create Blair Maxwell. Named after her two daughters, Blair Corinne and Olivia Maxwell, Blair Maxwell is a line that expresses her love for Casual dressing while staying true to her love for soft fabrics.
Blair Maxwell was born and based in San Francisco. By creating beautiful product locally, Blair Maxwell prides itself on being able to create quality and stylish staples that compliment every women’s wardrobe.
